in the last few years and is now home to plays,
concerts and old movies. |

| Harrison. These pictures are from
the remains of a pool hall that
burned down recently. It was on the town square,
and the structure dates back probably more than
100 years. Looking at the picture above is a
little like looking at sedimentary layers of
earth. You can also see the layers of wall, including
strips of animal print wallpaper (circa 1970's
I guess). |

| Note the gunshot-like pockmarks through which
wooden reinforcement once ran. I pulled a chunk
of wood from the wall and saw that it had been
hand-shaved to fit into its socket - this was
probably the late 19th/early 20th century version
of rebar. |
