Odds and ends and Sloan. All the Sloan pics are taken with long-exposure/ no-flash, because I don't like being the guy with the flashing lights. So if you don't like arty/blurry concert photography, you're not going to be thrilled here.![]() |
| North Little Rock's Frostop is an independent
burgers-and-shakes joint up the street from my
office. Their fries are great, as is their
drive-through menu, hand-corrected with love.
They also have music some nights. I'm sad I missed
Elvis. Frostop is definitely his kind of venue. Incidentally I don't know if their name is pronounced "Frost-top" or "Fro-Stop" and I don't want to know, because I want to go on believing it's the latter. It's the place to stop and get a fro. |

| Every Sunday morning that I have gone to Starbucks at 8AM (which I do about once a month), this guy is there. For some reason, I look at this car and I think of Brandon Wise. |

| The crowd, such as it was on a Wednesday night. Maybe 100 people in the place. |

| Elegant curvature to the drumming. I don't know who's who but that guy was the one who sang lead most of the time. One of the many great things about Sloan is that they all trade instruments, and they all sing lead at some point. Yet it always sounds like Sloan. I only had one of their CDs before the show, but I left with four. And a video. |
