The Geography of Little Rock

Maumelle Park isn't in Maumelle.

There are two unconnected West Capitol streets. The larger of which lies entirely east of the Capitol building.

Hillcrest and the Heights are lousy with streets that appear to stop in one place, then pick up again elsewhere, sometimes as much as a half mile away or more.

There are two Markham Streets - one becomes Third Street, the other becomes President Clinton; thus creating an intersection of four separately named streets: Markham, Cumberland, Clinton and La Harpe. La Harpe also becomes Cantrell at some mysterious point less than a mile from this intersection.

Rodney Parham Road makes a 90 degree turn, leaving bewildered drivers on Hinson.

I-630 (which isn't an interstate by the way) ends at a traffic light, which is against federal regulations.

Three major east-west streets all intersect each other. Rodney Parham, Markham, and Cantrell all meet each other at some point.

The Geography of Arkansas at Large

Hot Springs isn't in Hot Spring County.
Conway isn't in Conway County.
Searcy isn't in Searcy County.
Van Buren isn't in Van Buren County.
Benton isn't in Benton County.
Marion isn't in Marion County

Bentonville is on Benton County, but Yellville isn't in Yell County.
