The Library of Congress is on Flickr, and they have an amazing gallery of color photography from the 1940s. I don’t think I’ve ever seen color photos from that era, so looking at them is a revelatory experience.

Thanks so much for this link. I looked at these pictures for hours. The color in some of them was amazing. I could never have imagined it as vividly as these pictures show.
